Gina has lived in Greenfield for over 20 years, starting shortly after moving to Pittsburgh to attend law school at Pitt. She fell in love with the city and the real sense of community that Greenfield provides. She has practiced in both the public and private sector, primarily in immigration but also in litigation. She serves as the Immigration Legal Fellow at Hello Neighbor. Gina has worked at building community across Pittsburgh in such roles as PTO officer, judge of elections, and on the hospitality team for the Summit for Racial Justice.
I’ve lived in Greenfield with my wife since 2012, and we’re raising our two daughters here who have both go to Greenfield Elementary. I previously served on the Greenfield Community Association board and care deeply about staying involved in our neighborhood.
For more than a decade, I advocated for renewable energy and stronger clean energy policies, and today my wife and I both work for the City. Outside of work, I enjoy playing pool with neighbors at Zanos, playing soccer with my oldest, watching my youngest dance, and sitting on the porch with my wife.

With over 15 years as a community organizer, CSR manager, and legal assistant, I am dedicated to improving the quality of life for all residents in our community and beyond.
As a mom and double cancer survivor, I understand the challenges families face. Living in Greenfield for over nine years, I have actively engaged in initiatives that foster inclusion and support.
Over the years I have organized community events, including "know your rights" workshops and expungement clinics, traffic calming, litter cleanups, garden plantings, and more. Currently, I serve on the Jefferson County Development Council and the Allegheny County Democratic Committee for Ward 15-2, where I advocate for local issues and help at the polls.
One of my key achievements was collaborating with Pittsburgh City Council to pass 3 separate pieces of legislation protecting vulnerable community members. If elected to the GCA board, I will focus on strengthening community ties and ensuring every resident’s voice is heard.
I am running to join the Greenfield Community Association board because I believe in the fundamental principle that every person in our community deserves a good quality of life. With over 15 years of experience as a community organizer, CSR manager, and legal assistant, I have seen the impact we can make when we come together to advocate for one another.
As a mom and a double cancer survivor, I know the challenges families face. Living in Greenfield for over nine years, I’ve rolled up my sleeves and engaged in initiatives that foster inclusion and support. We must ensure that every voice is heard, especially those who have been marginalized.
One of my proudest achievements was working with Pittsburgh City Council to pass three pieces of legislation that protect our most vulnerable community members. If elected to the GCA board, I will focus on strengthening our community ties and ensuring that every resident’s voice is not just heard, but valued.
Together, we can create a Greenfield that is inclusive, equitable, and thriving for everyone.
Kris is a Greenfield resident and an active volunteer with many local organizations and his union. In his time off, he enjoys hiking with his two dogs, biking, and playing soccer. Greenfield, with its proximity to large green spaces like Schenley, attracted him to the area early on. The area’s history, along with its tight-knit neighborhood feel, is what made him and his partner, Brooke, decide to buy their first home after renting on Beechwood Boulevard. He helped found the business committee with the goal of attracting new storefronts to Greenfield’s commercial districts, and is active as well in various efforts to create more parklets and community events in Greenfield.
I'm a recovering public radio host, non-profit "professional", barely sane Hebrew School teacher, grizzled Eagle Scout, and rabid fan of Pittsburgh Hockey and CMU Theatre. I have been affiliated with various community organizations including Big Brothers Big Sisters, Toastmasters, and the Boy Scouts of America. Additionally, I have performed in improv troupes, hosted open mic comedy shows, reffed semi-semi-semi independent professional wrestling matches, and played on nationally ranked Quidditch teams. As alluded to above, I have made a career in non-profit communications from being the local All Things Considered host in Arizona to a marketing manager in Baltimore. I currently work at the JCC in the South Hills where I spend every day building community and resiliency.
I've lived all over the country, but I've never felt as content and comfortable as I do in Pittsburgh. The people are lovely, the nature is astounding, and the city is buzzing with a general excitement for what the future has to bring. Yet I feel like I've only begun to scratch the surface of experiencing this city and connecting to my fellow Yinzers. I would love to join the GCA Board so I can better serve my community, give back to a city that has already given me so much, and dive deeper into the rhythms and cultures of this vibrant slice of paradise.
Isaac Smith, a 32 year old Greenfield Community member moved to Greenfield with this partner and two cats in 2019. Isaac is a Pittsburgh native, growing up north of the city but spending the last 10 years living and working in the city. Isaac can say with confidence that Greenfield has been his favorite place to live with its lively neighbors, beautiful views, and great sense of community. When Isaac is not walking his two cats around the block or tending to his garden, you will see him and his partner running around the neighborhood training for the Pittsburgh Marathon. Got to love those Greenfield Hills! I want to join the GCA to help build a better Greenfield for everyone that calls this lovely neighborhood home. I’m currently an active member of of the Greenfield Development Committee with and interest in supporting our local businesses and advocating for better services such as transportation and greenspace.
