Thank you, Greenfield! Every voter who came out—whether you stopped by on your way home, brought a neighbor with you, or made time in a busy day—helped strengthen our community’s voice.
Your participation, dedication and belief in local engagement made this election meaningful and energizing. We’re grateful for everyone who showed up and continues to support the work of the GCA.
To help ensure the integrity of the election, all voters were documented using a sign-in sheet. Utilizing a transparent and verified vote-counting process, every ballot was carefully reviewed.
Candidates were invited to observe the count, and each ballot was tallied by pairs of current GCA board members to ensure accuracy.
As a result, Gina Godfrey and Kristopher Olson have been re-elected to the board. We’re also excited to welcome Theresa Nightingale and Justin Regan as our newest board members. Each will serve three-year terms.

Pittsburgh, PA — The Greenfield Community Association (GCA) has received a $100,000 grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) through the Community and Economic Assistance Program. The grant will support efforts to enhance Greenfield’s public spaces, strengthen neighborhood connections and expand community programming.
“It’s a privilege and an honor to support the Greenfield Community Association and help deliver funding that will improve quality of life for residents and strengthen our communities,” said Senator Jay Costa. “I look forward to seeing shared spaces beautified and neighbors brought together as GCA puts these DCED dollars to noble use. I’m grateful to have such dedicated partners in the 43rd Senatorial District as we work together toward a bright future.”
The Community and Economic Assistance Program is designed to support projects that foster community revitalization and economic development across Pennsylvania. GCA’s award reflects ongoing collaboration between residents, volunteers and local leaders to identify priorities that benefit the neighborhood as a whole. “From fundraising for community projects to hosting events, promoting local businesses and keeping our public spaces clean and beautiful, the GCA is at the heart of what makes Greenfield such a wonderful place to live," said Barb Warwick, District 5 City Councilmember. Thank you, Greenfield! This year’s GCA Board election saw unprecedented voter turnout—lines stretched out the door at Magee and down the block. In past years, the GCA has faced low voter engagement, so this level of participation was truly inspiring. Your energy, enthusiasm, and commitment to our community made this an unforgettable and historic election.
As a result, Ed Goyda, Luke Sciulli, and Christa Jones have been re-elected to the board. We’re also excited to welcome Erin Breen and Mark Rossi as our newest board members. All five will serve three-year terms.
We also extend our deepest gratitude to Ling Almoubayyed and Scott McMurtry, who have completed their board service. Thank you both for your dedication and contributions to the community—you’ve made a lasting impact, and we know you’ll continue to stay engaged in Greenfield.
We want to extend our sincere gratitude to every candidate who put their name forward in this year’s election. Your willingness to serve, your ideas, and your commitment to Greenfield are deeply appreciated. While not everyone was appointed this time, your passion for the community does not go unnoticed—and we hope you'll stay engaged with the GCA in other meaningful ways. There are always opportunities to lead, collaborate, and make a difference. Thank you for stepping up!
We’re aware that a social media post circulated with incorrect information about the election start and end times. To avoid confusion in the future, we encourage everyone to rely on official GCA channels—including our website and social media—for accurate and up-to-date information about events, elections, and community updates.
The energy around this election was incredible—let’s keep it going! If you’re inspired to get more involved and help shape the future of Greenfield, we invite you to fill out our interest form and find the right role for you within the GCA. Every helping hand makes a difference!
