The Greenfield Community Association (GCA) works to build and strengthen the sense of community and civic pride in the Greenfield neighborhood within the City of Pittsburgh’s Council District 5. Through community-driven programs and volunteer leadership, we strive to create a welcoming Greenfield. The GCA advocates for the best interest of the community, mobilizes civic participation and builds partnerships that turn community priorities into action, ensuring Greenfield’s long-term vitality, equity and quality of life.

Greenfield School's Fall Fest & Haunted Gym on Friday Oct. 23
Greenfield School's Fall Fest & Haunted Gym on Friday Oct. 23
Bring the whole family to Greenfield School's Fall Fest & Haunted Gym on Friday Oct. 23 from 5:30 to 8 pm!
The festivities, including games, crafts, Trunk or Treat, and more, begin at 5:30, and the Haunted Gym opens at 6. Tickets are $5 per person and include one trip through the Haunted Gym. Children ages 3 and under are free. Additional trips through the Haunted Gym are $1 and sold at the gym entrance. Food is also available for purchase at the event. Cash or credit card accepted.
All proceeds from this event benefit the Greenfield School PTO and Greenfield School Theatre Club. Thank you for your support!
**Please note that ALL students attending Fall Fest MUST be accompanied by an adult who is responsible for them. All attendees, including adult chaperones, will need to purchase a ticket to obtain a wristband for entry.

More spooky stuff! Greenfield's free neighborhood Halloween party returns to Mondays Brewing on Saturday, October 31 from 6-10pm! It's free to attend and features:
- 1980s ghoulish grooves from DJ MB (of Alternate Histories and In Bed by Ten)
- Local beer + candy pairings and more from Mondays Brewing
- Food from Smashed N Fried
- And a costume contest for both kids and adults with prizes donated by local businesses and the Greenfield Community Association

The Holiday Mingle is a free, family-friendly celebration that brings together the neighborhoods of Hazelwood, Greenfield and Squirrel Hill. By embracing the diverse holiday traditions of our communities, the event creates an inclusive space for neighbors to connect, celebrate, and build lasting bonds of unity and joy.
Come and enjoy a festive environment for all, where families can connect, enjoy activities and celebrate the spirit of the season.

As the days grow shorter and we approach the darkest time of the year, communities around the world mark the season by bringing light into the darkness. From twinkling holiday displays and menorah candles to advent wreaths, kinaras, and other cherished traditions, these celebrations remind us of the warmth, hope, and connection we share.
This winter, the Greenfield Community Association is proud to introduce Greenfield Winterfest, a new community celebration designed to bring neighbors together and celebrate the rich traditions that make our neighborhood so special.
Greenfield Winterfest will be a free, family-friendly gathering where everyone is welcome. Through festive activities, community organizations, seasonal traditions and opportunities to connect with one another, we hope to create a space where neighbors can share the joy of the season and learn about the customs and celebrations that matter to them.
At its heart, Winterfest is about community. It is about gathering together, embracing what makes each of us unique, and recognizing the values that unite us: kindness, belonging, hope, and the simple joy of being with our neighbors.
Whether you have celebrated these holidays your entire life, are exploring new traditions, or simply want to enjoy a festive evening with friends and family, you have a place at Winterfest.
Winterfest will reflect the welcoming spirit of our neighborhood. We are committed to creating an experience that is accessible, inclusive, safe and enjoyable for all ages and backgrounds.
